Blogspot SEO Rank Report After Four Weeks

Summary: Blogspot SEO jumped from page 3 of Google to the top 5 in just four weeks

I just thought I would quickly comment on my current ranking progress in Google search results. Again, all the SEO tweaks I've implemented on Blogspot SEO have been talked about extensively in the articles on this blog you're able to read for free; so I would assume people following my posts (via feed, email subscription or bookmark) have had similar SERP improvements also. In this particular post, I'm going to focus on domain age and posting quality content Google (and most importantly your readers) want.

The most recent post I've made on Blogspot SEO was published December 13th, which was Blogspot SEO Rank Report After Removing Archive System. This means in just four weeks I have jumped from page three of Google to the top five which I think's amazing! I haven't really done any off-page SEO techniques (such as link building) as of yet, which leads me to believe that my success so far has been down to two factors; domain age and posting quality, unique content.

Let me start off with domain age. If you look at what Matt Cutts has to say in this YouTube video, you will see that domain age doesn't really have any value or impact on your search engine results. I was surprised, like many others I thought aged domains really helped with on-page SEO.

Reviewing this video, what I do believe to be true is that a blog that has built up considerable trust with Google over time will more often than not outrank newly made blogs or blogs that don't follow what Google likes. When you slowly see yourself moving up in the rankings, it's Big G trusting your blog that little bit more and finding your content (amongst millions of other articles on the internet) more valuable to the user searching for it.

If you mix this with unique content (which Google loves), you should have no problem ranking high for a low-medium phrase with hardly any off-page SEO. If your struggling to rank, drop me a comment or email and I will certainly do my best to help you out!

@ Snow Peak Hey, thanks for your comment. Many people have the misconception that Blogspot blogs are difficult to rank in search engine results; so go for WordPress instead. As you can see, these progress reports have flushed that misconception down the toilet! I hope this provides people with the motivation they need not give up with their Blogspot blogs; if you try hard enough you will eventually be successful!
