The Importance Of Pinging Your Blogspot Blog For Fast Indexing

Aim: Explaining the importance of pinging your Blogspot blog for quicker page indexing

I own a number of blogs using either the Blogspot or Wordpress platform. What I've noticed in comparison (among many things) is how WP has much more consideration when it comes to SEO. For example, in WP you can manually edit article URL stubs, but in Blogspot you can't (read my article 'How You Can Use Post URL's To Improve Blogspot SEO' to overcome this). Another thing I've noticed - and what this article is focused on - is how WP automatically pings a blog page every time it's edited, whereas Blogspot blogs don't.

What is pinging? Pinging is a service which notifies a search engine when blog content has been updated. When a URL is pinged, search engines such as Google are much quicker to react where your newly made blog article (or edited blog article) gets indexed faster. Whereas an article that hasn't been pinged might take a day or two to be indexed by search engines, a pinged article might only take a few hours.
